CHILD KIDNAP BECOMING SERIOUS ISSUE IN CALABAR,CROSS RIVER STATE

The city of Calabar is known by as the tourist Centre in Nigeria. But with the threat from men of the underworld is now turning it vice versa.
Since the beginning of this year, child kidnapping has been serious that some parents never leave to school without any adult, acompaning the children
The kidnappers making waves in different parts of the Calabar city.
Earlier February this year, a small boy of six years was kidnapped in a church located at Azikiwe Street, Calabar South, while a service was still on.
Prior this case, two boys, Goodluck and Promise Charles Eyo were made away with from their home by some kidnappers
Father of the children told reporters that all efforts made to get his missing childern back is all in vain.
Another incident was the kidnap of a kid Ekpe at 8-Miles Calabar,that was so shocking.
According to Janet Ekpe, the kid's mother, she was walking home with her son when a car halted in her front, a man from the vehicle immediately get down,approached her and snatch the son away from her before he ran to the awaiting car which took off immediately he entered inside.
In month of March a four-year-old boy Nsew Akpan was kidnapped while he was playing in front of their house at Atekong Street, Big Qua Town. They also went on in kidnapping a four year old boy Effiong at Ikot Omin, That same week, a school child was kidnapped in Odukpani Local Government, near Calabar city.
